Do You Know Him?
"And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." Acts 26:15-18
Give Honor Where Honor is Due!
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth." Ephesians 6:1-3
Forgiveness is Free
"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15
Will You Be a Castaway?
"And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." I Corinthians 9:25-27
IT IT NOT ABOUT US!
What type of person do you want to be?
Who are you serving: God or yourself?
What are you really looking for when you pray?
God is NOT a puppet on a string! If you continue to ask God for whatever is in your heart at each moment without remembering to ask what His will is for you . . . what does that say about the type of person you are? Do you know what He would like from you today, tomorrow or even yesterday? Maybe you need to re-examine your motives and see if you are really serving God. What exactly ARE YOU praying for? If you are at peace with yourself and know in your heart of hearts that you are doing the will of God! May you forever lead by example. God bless you!
